Follow Your Dreams
I was reminded of how powerful it can be to follow your dreams when I visited the Saint Joseph Oratory in Montreal because Brother Andre had a dream of building a huge cathedral on Royal Mountain. He followed his dream and made it happen.
If you have a dream, don’t let others steal it – follow your dreams with a passion. I know it’s easy to give up on your dream because of everything that life throws at you but if you persist and you never give up, you can do nothing other than reach your dream. I was told before that the only way to loose is to quit.
We live in a society that bombards us with material treasures, or what we grow up thinking are treasure but it’s really just the “shinny object syndrome” (a term Jack Canfield, author of Chicken Soup books likes to use). If your dream is owning anything such as an exotic sports car, a huge mansion or expensive jewelry chances are you have fallen to this affliction.
Not sure what your dream is?
If you aren’t exactly sure what your dream is, if it seems to be the “shinny object syndrome” or it’s a little vague like “I don’t want to work” or “I want money” or “I want to be free” then you’ll need to figure out what it is if you want to follow your dream.
The best way I found to figure that out is to start with what you think it is and ask yourself “what do I want that?”, then whatever your answer is, ask the question again and do this 5 or more times until you think you can’t ask again.
Good luck in finding your dream and remember to follow your dreams and never give up. Comment below and let me know what your dreams are, I’d love to get to know you.
